Hi, I'm Hedy Yudaw.
I am a veteran animation artist with nearly 40 years of experience, from traditional hand-drawn animation in Taiwan to contemporary television productions in Los Angeles.
Throughout my career, I have helped bring stories to life through background painting and visual development. My work focuses on creating environments that support story, emotion, and character through color, light, and atmosphere.
Selected credits include Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites, Green Eggs and Ham, Jellystone!, and productions for Disney Television Animation, Warner Bros. Animation, Titmouse, Nickelodeon, and 20th Television Animation.
Having studied Character Animation at CalArts and earned an MFA from UCLA, I continue to explore the power of visual storytelling through both studio productions and independent filmmaking.
Working under the artist name Purung, I am currently developing my first independent animated short film, expected to be completed in late 2027.
I believe great animation connects people, preserves memories, and shares stories across generations.
